'Sure, I'll email you some photos every few months': 25-year-old woman maliciously complies with ex-boyfriend’s request for updates on “their” dog Rosie after he cheats on her with a younger woman he met on TikTok

Luckily, we've never had to deal with the custody of a canine through a breakup. We got our first doggo with our fiancée (soon-to-be husband!) and we plan on being married for the next 90 or so years, so hopefully we will never have to. However, if we ever did have to, we are 100% going to take a page from this woman's playbook and send "updates" to our ex about "our" dog. We're not normally ones who lower ourselves to comply with petty solutions, but in this specific example, we think it's howlarious.

Just to give you some backstory, he cheated on her with a younger woman…. that he met on TikTok. The two hadn't even met before he broke up with her, then moved her to live in his dad's basement. Romantic, right? It sounds like what every woman wants. Anyway, he kept pestering her about updates about "their" dog, so she went out and took pictures, videos of her dog doing her business so he would know exactly what she thought of him. 

Work, queen. Even better yet, we hope she makes a calendar out of it.

To make a long story short, I had suspicions about his infidelity since January this year, but every time I raised concerns, I'd get hit with the good ol' "don't worry, babe, she's just my best friend."

    Well, turns out I was right, and the very same day we called our relationship off (due to 'unrelated' issues), he's posting on social media about how much he loves his new girl. Last week, he met her irl for the first time and moved her like 6 states away into his dad's house. Keep in mind, we've been broken up exactly a month today.

  • This is outrageous. Can you imagine “meeting” someone on social media, breaking up with someone who loves you and is a fellow pawrent to your doggo, then seeing them for the first time and falling in love? This sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. She's better off without him.

    Anyway, we had a dog together: Rosie. The house we were living in together is mine, so I decided to keep her here with me since I had more stability and she's bffs with my roommates' dogs. He agreed that she'd probably be better off with me, and only asked that I send him pictures of her and keep him updated on how she's doing.

    I said, "Sure, I'll email you some photos every few months." So, every day since then, whenever I let Rosie out into the yard, I'll take pictures of her pping to send to my ex. I've gotten all different angles, a couple of videos, the whole nine yards. In a couple months, he'll have an inbox full of our sh ng dog to remind him of just what exactly I think about him.

    Edit: Wow, I didn't expect this to blow up as much as it has. Thank you so much to everyone asking how Rosie and I are doing: we're just fine :) I think she's definitely sad that he's not around anymore, they were best buddies after all, but she's surrounded by her pup friends and gets belly rubs every day!

    As for my ex and the other woman, I can only assume she knew about our relationship. It's possible he lied to her and said we were roommates or something, but I don't really care. Even if she was actively 'poaching' him, my ex would have shut it down if he really loved me, end of story. He's told me everything I needed to know with his actions, which are far more trustworthy than his words.

  • Obviously, she feels better without him! He sounds like someone who doesn't know what he wants, and every person on this planet deserves to be in a relationship with someone who wants them. Not someone who can fall in love with someone he has never met over a social media app. That's not commitment.
